Fender Player Stratocaster - Sunburst

Fender

Fender was founded in 1946 by Clarence Leonidas ‘Leo’ Fender. Their first guitar, the Telecaster, became a huge success, and they started producing other similarly popular models, like the Stratocaster and the Precision Bass. Nowadays Fender has a huge assortment of different basses and guitars, with different sounds, colours, and prices, so that they have something for everyone. Consequently, they remain one of the most popular guitar brands today!

The Player Series

Fender developed the Player series specifically for beginning musicians and musicians with a relatively low budget. The Fender Player guitars and basses are made in Mexico and measure up to Fender’s American-made guitars quite well. The instruments are also very versatile and are even suited for recording and gigs. The Player guitars are thus more affordable versions of the popular Fender models. Consequently, they also feel and sound like a Fender guitar. However, the Player models are relatively standard, Fender did not add any unique modifications or special additions to the guitar. All models have Alnico pickups and are available in different colours.

The Player Stratocaster

The Player Stratocaster is very similar to the standard Fender Stratocaster. Consequently, this is the ideal possibility to own an affordable and genuine Fender Stratocaster. The body of the guitar is made of alder. The guitar also has a maple neck with a satin finish, which makes sure the guitar is comfortable to play, especially for people who tend to get sweaty hands while playing. The guitar has three Alnico single-coil pickups. These pickups can produce the typical Stratocaster sound, but also much more. The pickups can be adjusted with the five-way switch, the volume knob, and the two tone knobs, just like the authentic Stratocasters. The Player Stratocaster is thus a great guitar for a decent price!

Fender Player Lead III - Metallic Purple

Fender

Fender is an American company which was founded by Leo Fender in 1946. They started with producing the Telecaster, which became a huge success. Not much later, they developed other immensely popular guitars and basses, like the Stratocaster and the Precision Bass. Nowadays, Fender produces many different high quality guitars and basses, which makes sure they remain one of the most popular brands.

The Player Series

Fender developed the Player series for beginning musicians who have a relatively low budget. The Fender Player guitars and basses are made in Mexico instead of in America, but meet all the requirements of a professional instrument. Hence they are suited for performing and recording. The Player instruments are cheaper versions of the popular American-made Fender instruments, which means they play and sound like typical Fender instruments. The guitars are also quite versatile, which means they are suitable for every guitarist. All models have Alnico pickups and are available in many different colours.

The Player Lead III Metallic Purple

The Lead III is a beautiful electric guitar with a vintage body style. Fender introduced the Lead in 1979, but discontinued it soon after. The Lead was reintroduced as part of the Player Series. With the Lead Fender attempted to combine the Stratocaster and the Telecaster, to make the ultimate versatile guitar. The Lead has a modern C-neck with a 9.5” radius fretboard. The body has a double-cut to make the high frets easy to reach. The compact and lightweight body also makes it the ideal guitar for performing. The Lead III has two Alnico humbuckers which provide a warm and powerful sound. The guitar has a two way switch which makes it possible to adjust the pickups. The hardtail bridge and the F-style tuners give the guitar great tuning stability. The Lead III is thus an amazing and unique guitar!

Fender Player Plus Nashville Telecaster - Opal Spark

Fender

Fender was founded in 1946 by Clarence Leonidas ‘Leo’ Fender. All models have Alnico pickups and are available in different colours.

The Fender Player Plus Nashville Telecaster Opal Spark

The Player Plus Nashville in Opal Spark is a creative version of the legendary Telecaster. This Telecaster does indeed contain the typical Telecaster sound, like that beautiful warm twangy sound, but it also has a Stratocaster function. The tone knob has a push/pull system with which you can easily transform your Telecaster into a Stratocaster. Consequently this means you will have two guitars in one! Furthermore, all pickups have a no-hum system. Single-coil pickups are notorious for their humming sound. This is because single-coils do not have a magnetic circle which means they can pick up other signals. Fender wasn’t satisfied with this, so they developed no-hum single-coils, which are single-coil pickups that do not hum when they are being used, even with a lot of distortion and/or overdrive. Additionally, the guitar itself is also made of high quality materials. The guitar has an alder body and a maple neck. Alder is light yet strong and maple is insanely comfortable to play and has a classic look. This is complemented by the Opal Spark finish, which also gives the guitar a vintage appearance. The Fender Player Plus Nashville Telecaster is thus the ideal Telecaster for the versatile guitarist!

Fender Player Plus Stratocaster - Belair Blue

Fender

Nowadays Fender has a huge assortment of different basses and guitars, with different sounds, colours, and prices, so that they have something for everyone. All models have Alnico pickups and are available in different colours.

The Fender Player Plus Belair Blue

The Player Plus in Belair Blue is the more creative spin on the standard Fender Player Stratocaster. This is because the Player Plus has a more unique finish, has an HSS pickup configuration, and better pickups. HSS means that the guitar has one humbucker and two single-coils, instead of three single-coils and no humbucker. These are also high quality pickups, because the humbucker has a coil-split function and the single-coil pickups have no-hum technology. Coil-splitting means that the humbucker, which has two coils, can be transformed in a single-coil, which obviously has one coil. This can be done by turning one of the two coils off by pulling the tone knob, and can be transformed back into a humbucker by pushing the tone knob back in place. The Fender Player Plus thus has many pickup and tone options! The no-hum technology means that the single-coils do not produce the typical humming noise. Single-coils have a beautiful sound but are also notorious for that humming sound. This is because single-coils do not form a magnetic circle and manage to pick up other signals. Fender thus designed this system which cancels out the hum. Furthermore, the body of the guitar is made of alder, which is lightweight yet quite strong. The guitar also has a maple neck and a pau ferro fretboard, which is a great combination and makes playing really comfortable. The Fender Player Plus Belair Blue is thus the ideal instrument for the creative player!

The Player Stratocaster is a great Stratocaster that has all the characteristic of a Fender guitar. Consequently, the guitar has three Alnico single-coil pickups. Single-coil pickups are typical for a Stratocaster because they produce that legendary Rock ‘n Roll sound. However, single-coils are still very versatile, and they also sound amazing without any effects. The pickups can be adjusted with the five-way switch, the volume knob, and the two tone knobs. The guitar has an alder body and a maple neck. The neck has a satin finish which makes it comfortable to play. The satin finish makes it easy to slide through your hand and is ideal for guitarists who tend to get sweaty hands while playing. In the ‘90s these old Mustangs were picked up by popular grunge musicians, which made them quite popular. Fender decided to rerelease the Mustang at the time, specifically for this market. The ‘90s Mustang is thus a popular model from Fender. The Player Mustang is inspired on the ‘90s model, which means it has two P90 pickups. P90s sound amazing with a distorted effect, but also sound great with a clean sound. The body is made of alder, which has a great sustain. The guitar also has a maple neck and a pau ferro fretboard, which is a sustainable combination and is very comfortable to play.
