The ERG121GPII is a great starterpack for the beginning musician! The set contains all necessities to play the guitar: a guitar, an amplifier, a strap, a string winder, plectrums, a tuner, a softbag, strings, and a cable. The guitar has a HSH configuration, which means that the neck and bridge pickups are humbuckers, whereas the middle pickup is a single coil. Squier Affinity Stratocaster - Sunburst

Squier

Squier is part of Fender. In 1965 they were bought by Fender, specifically to sell their popular Stratocasters and Telecasters for a lower price. This means they are the only brand that can copy Fender guitars completely, because they are part of the patent. The difference between Fender and Squier guitars is mostly in where they are produced. Fender guitars are either made in Mexico or the United States, whereas Squier guitars are made in Asia, usually Indonesia or China. They also tend to use cheaper materials, depending on the series. This means Squier guitars can be cheaper than Fender guitars. However, Squier remains one of the best producers when it comes to cheap guitars, because they produce relatively high-quality guitars for the price.

The Affinity Stratocaster

A superb gateway into the time-honored Fender family, the Squier Affinity Series Stratocaster delivers legendary design and quintessential tone for today’s aspiring guitar hero. This Strat features several player-friendly refinements such as a thin and lightweight body, a slim and comfortable “C”-shaped neck profile, a 2-point tremolo bridge for superior tremolo action and sealed die-cast tuning machines with split shafts for smooth, accurate tuning and easy restringing. This series contains different models, including the Stratocaster, the Telecaster, the Jazzmaster, the Jaguar, the Jazz Bass, and the Precision Bass.

The American Professional II Telecaster

Pine is a beautiful tonewood that produces a warm and bright sound and has amazing projection. A case is included with the guitar.

Fender

Fender was founded in 1946 by Clarence Leonidas ‘Leo’ Fender. Their first guitar, the Telecaster, became a huge success, and they started producing other similarly popular models, like the Stratocaster and the Precision Bass. Nowadays Fender has a huge assortment of different basses and guitars, with different sounds, colours, and prices, so that they have something for everyone. Eastman T486RD - Thinline Guitar

Eastman

The T486 is a beautiful thinline guitar from Eastman. Eastman is an American company that was founded in the 1990s by the Chinese Qian Ni. Qian Ni emigrated to Boston to study music, but once he arrived in America he was not impressed by the quality of American stringed instruments. As a result, he started his own company, Eastman, producing violins. Over the years, Eastman's range has expanded significantly and guitar building techniques and quality standards have improved greatly. Eastman therefore guarantees quality. As a result, they are one of the most popular in the field of acoustic guitars, and in terms of quality they are close to brands such as Martin and Taylor.

The Thinline

The T486 is a thinline guitar. Thinline guitars fall under the hollow-body categorization. Hollow-body guitars are electric guitars with large sound boxes, in which the vibration of the string resonates in the sound box and is then picked up by the pickups. This creates a beautiful and unique sound. This combines the full and warm sound of an acoustic guitar with the power and versatility of an electric guitar. Thinline guitars are basically an improvement on this. After the production of hollow-body guitars it soon became clear that the guitars were very large, which could sometimes be uncomfortable, and that the guitars suffered a lot from feedback. Thus, the thinline was invented. The thinline also has a sound box, but it is a lot thinner, so that the resonance is still good, but the guitar is also a lot more comfortable. Thinlines are mainly popular among jazz guitarists, however thinlines are becoming increasingly popular in other genres.

The T486

The T486 is one of the most popular thinline models on the market. The sound box is made of laminated maple wood. This means that the walls of the guitar consist of several thin layers of maple wood that are glued together. This is a very sustainable way of using wood that is becoming increasingly popular in guitar building. A laminated wood guitar is also more resistant to climate change than authentic tone woods. Laminated guitars are therefore the ideal choice for someone who lives in very dry or very humid climates, the guitar will not crack or warp. This makes the guitar very easy to maintain. The neck of the guitar is made of solid maple and the fingerboard of ebony, this provides a nice playing experience and that the neck slides well through the hand. Finally, the appearance of the guitar is also an important point; the great red color provides an authentic look with a striking appearance. In short, a great guitar for a good price!

Eastman SB55DC/TV - Vintage Red

Eastman

Eastman was founded in 1992 by Qian Ni, a Chinese musician who had moved to America. He realised there were few professional instruments available at the time, which is why he decided to start his own company. Quality is still Eastman’s priority. Every instrument is made by hand and goes through an extensive process to ensure that the instruments will stand the test of time and can be used quite intensively.

The SB55DC/v

The SB55DC/v is a remarkable solid-body guitar. This is not just because of its unique shape and colour, but also because it only has one pickup. The guitar contains the Lollar 50s Spec Doc Ear P-90 pickup in the bridge. This pickup is a blues pickup, based on the ‘50s. This means the P-90 emphasises the top end and sounds brighter. The guitar has a one-piece okoume body, which is a lightweight tonewood. The neck is also a one-piece okoume and has an ebony fretboard. Ebony is considered to be one of the best tonewoods for the fretboard, as it feels nice and produces a balanced sound. Furthermore, The beautiful natural patterns of the okoume are nicely complemented by the antique red colour. The SB55DC/v is delivered with a case.

The Sonic Series

Squier announced the arrival of the Sonic series at NAMM 2023. This series is considered the successor to their Bullet series. The Sonic series is even more extensive than the Bullet series, as they also produce lesser known guitars, such as the Esquire and the Mustang. The guitars are also made in more unique colours.

The Esquire

The Esquire looks very similar to the Telecaster. This is because it is the predecessor of the Telecaster. Leo Fender produced the Esquire in 1950 and it was one of the first solid body electric guitars in the world. The Esquire was, however, overshadowed by the Telecaster which was released shortly thereafter. The biggest difference between the two is that the Telecaster has two pickups, two single coils, whereas the Esquire has one pickup, also a single coil. Ever since the Esquire has been memorialised as a vital piece of guitar history, and the single pickup is now viewed as handy and reliable. Consequently, Fender decided to bring this piece of history back through Squier’s Sonic series, where they swapped out the single coil pickup for a humbucker for a fuller and warmer sound.

Materials

The body of the guitar is made of poplar. This is a light tonewood which produces a balanced sound. The neck is made of maple and the fretboard of Indian laurel. This is a great and sustainable combination which produces a comfortable experience.

Eastman Romeo LA - Blue

Eastman

Eastman was founded in 1992 by Qian Ni, a Chinese musician who had moved to America. He realised there were few professional instruments available at the time, which is why he decided to start his own company. Quality is still Eastman’s priority. Every instrument is made by hand and goes through an extensive process to ensure that the instruments will stand the test of time and can be used quite intensively

Thinlines

The Eastman Romeo LA is the new thinline guitar by Eastman. Thinline guitars are part of the hollow body guitars. Hollow body guitars are electric guitars with a soundboard. The vibrations of the strings resonate in inside the body, after which the resonance is caught and translated by the pickups. This process creates a very unique sound which cannot be replicated by other types of guitars. However, the sound can differ depending on the tonewood and the pickups. The combination between these factors is vital, and hollow body guitars will often sound amazing with P90s or humbuckers as they produce a vintage-y sound. Yet, thinlines work a bit different. They do have a soundboard, but they are a lot thinner. This prevents feedback and improves your playing experience. Furthermore, the wood plays a larger role in the sound of the guitar, which makes the sound more authentic and warmer. Thinline guitars are thus great for any guitar player, but especially those looking for a vintage sound.

The Eastman Romeo LA

The Romeo LA is a great choice of thinline guitars. This model is inspired by Los Angeles, the hometown of Eastman. This is mostly apparent in the design, the bright blue colour was derived from LA’s skyline. Furthermore, the golden accents result in a dazzling finish. Eastman also wasn’t reluctant when it came to quality. The top of the body is made of spruce and the back and sides are made of mahogany. This doesn’t only result in a beautiful resonance, but it’s also environmentally friendly. Eastman also makes sure that the chosen woods are the best of their kinds. Moreover, the guitar has two Seymour Duncan Radiator Phat Cat pickups. These are high-quality P90s that are very versatile. The pickups sound great when played clean, but they also have enormous power and grit with distortion. The most important aspect of these pickups is that they produce a beautiful vintage sound. The Romeo LA also has a Göldo Les Trem tremolo system. This system is designed so that it’s easy to use without blocking other functions on the guitar. The guitar also has locking tuners, which is a system that improves the tuning stability.

Furthermore, the wood plays a larger role in the sound of the guitar, which makes the sound more authentic and warmer. The T386

The T386 is a very versatile Thinline guitar. The body is made of laminated maple, which doesn’t only produce a great resonance and tone, but is also very sturdy. Furthermore, the Eastman has two Kent Armstrong Humbucker pickups. These are very good humbuckers that produce a full and wide sound. Consequently, the guitar sounds awesome with a clean sound but can also definitely be used with gain. As such, hollow-body guitars aren’t only suitable for jazz but can be used for every genre. Moreover, the beautiful red colour makes the guitar very eye-catching and gives it a professional look. The F-holes and the tremolo system also add to the vintage vibe of the guitar.
