The DTX402KRL is a great drum kit for beginners! To be fair, you can always count on Yamaha; this Japanese company produces high-quality (digital) instruments and is a popular choice for digital drum kits. This set contains everything you’ll need as a beginner: a hi-hat plus pedal, a kick pedal, a snare pad, three tom pads, two cymbals, the rack, and the module. However, almost everything, as the set doesn’t include a stool or sticks, which you’ll need to purchase separately. This is nevertheless the standard, as both the stool and the sticks are subject to personal comfort. Every drummer has their favourite sticks and a stool, which means they’re sold separately. Yamaha focussed on the quality of the DTX402KRL, because a high-quality instrument will keep a beginner motivated to keep playing. They also prioritised affordability, as a beginner is likely unwilling to pay as much as a seasoned musician. Consequently, the appearance of the kit is relatively basic, but they made sure that the pads are high-quality and the module contains everything you’ll need!

Roland TD-07DMK - V-Drum Set

The TD-07DMK is a compact digital drum kit with a great price/quality ratio from Roland. Roland is a company that brings great audio products to the market, especially in the field of digital drum kits they are very popular. This is because they are very innovative and progressive. Their drum kits are of high quality and are used by professional drummers. The TD-07DMK is part of their TD-07 series. Within this series, drum kits are made that are compact and affordable. The TD-07DMK is the cheapest of the series, but does not compromise on quality.

The TD-07DMK Set

The TD-07DMK offers a lot for the price. The set includes two cymbals, a crash and a ride, as well as a hi-hat. These are made of rubber and have a great response. The set also includes three tom pads and a snare pad. These pads are made of mesh, not rubber. Rubber is the standard, but mesh is considered better. Mesh imitates the skin better in terms of rebound, feel and sound. Mesh heads are also quieter. You can always hear the rubber hitting the head, even when playing with headphones. Mesh heads do not have this problem, so the TD-07DMK is very quiet. The pads and cymbals also incorporate precision technology, so that every nuance of your playing is captured and processed into the sound. A hard strike will produce a louder sound than a soft strike, roll, rolling movement or touch.

Sound options

This drum set comes with the TD-07 module, like every set in this series. This is a high-quality drum module. The module has 50 built-in drum kits, giving you a wide choice of sounds. These kits have been recorded by professional drummers in the best studios, so that high quality can be guaranteed. In addition, these kits are customisable, allowing you to create the most unique sounds and combinations. You can also set the environment. An acoustic set sounds different depending on the room it is in. With the TD-07DMK you can adjust this, making the sound even more authentic. Furthermore, the module also has a Bluetooth function, allowing you to play along with your favourite songs. It is also possible to connect the module to a computer via the USB connection.

Please note: This drum set comes without a bass drum pedal

Why a digital drum kit?

But why digital drumming? A digital drum kit has certain advantages that an acoustic set does not have. Firstly, a digital drum kit is more compact and lighter than an acoustic one, which makes transport and assembly easier and the set takes up less space. In addition, it is not possible to play silently with an acoustic drum kit. With a digital drum kit, it is. The TD-07DMK has a headphone jack and silence technology, which allows you to play almost silently. This is ideal for the drummer who plays until very late or who lives in an apartment. Recording also becomes a lot easier. To record an acoustic set, a microphone must be placed at each drum and cymbal, which are then connected to a computer via an interface. The TD-07DMK can be connected directly to a computer with a USB cable. In addition, a digital set has many more sound options than an acoustic set, so that when you buy one digital drum kit, you actually get more. In short, the TD-07DMK is a great digital drum kit for a fantastic price!

Roland TD-02K - Digital Drum Set

The TD-02K is a great beginner drum kit from Roland. Roland is a Japanese company that produces high-quality instruments and audio products. They are mostly known for their digital drum sets. The TD-02 series contains several digital drum kits for beginning drummers. The drum kits have ultra-responsive pads, practice functions, upgrade possibilities and a wide variety of sounds for an affordable price. The TD-02K is the most affordable and compact drum kit of this series. The drum kit contains a snare pad, three tom pads, a bass drum pedal, a hi-hat, and two cymbals. This is considered the standard set-up for a drum kit.

The TD-02K is furthermore very suitable for younger players. The height of the drum kit can be adjusted and will thus be able to grow with you. Consequently, it isn’t a beginner drum kit that can only be used briefly: the drum kit is still suitable for more experienced players and individual pads can be upgraded if that’s necessary. Moreover, the drum kit is also suitable for someone who has little space as the kit is very compact, but it’s also very suitable for the drummer that needs to be as quiet as possible. The drum module (the little computer that produces the sound) has a Bluetooth function and an AUX-in so you can play the drums with headphones on. Additionally, the pedals don’t contain an actual knocker so it won’t produce unwanted sounds.

  • Buy a qualified Yamaha instrument between 4.9.2024 and 15.1.2025.

  • Once your application is validated, you will receive your cashback amount via bank transfer within 35 working days.

The Yamaha DTX-432K is the digital drum kit that belongs to the entry-level series of the highly acclaimed DTX models. Compared to the cheaper DTX-402K, this drum kit features a bass drum pedal with physical beater, which greatly enhances the drumming experience! Combined with the high-quality drum sounds, full setup and modern features, the DTX-432K is a very good drum kit to start with! And all in an affordable price range, too.

Yamaha DTX-432, for all levels and ages

The Yamaha DTX432 is a drum kit suitable for all ages and all levels. Yamaha knows everything there is to know about drums and they have carried that experience through to the tuning and quality of the kits. Among other things, it is noticeable that the sensitivity of the pads is very reliable. Every movement is accurately registered and converted into a realistic sound. With the cymbals, it is even possible to mute them by hand! This makes the drum kit suitable for the beginning drummer as well as a practice set for the advanced drummer. The position and angles of the cymbals, snare and toms are therefore based on years of experience. But if desired, this can be further adjusted according to personal wishes or height. This allows even small children to get started with the DTX. It is also possible to build the drum kit in a left-handed setup.

The DTX432 features a traditional drum configuration consisting of a snare drum, three toms three cymbals, a bass drum and a hihat controller. As described earlier, the setup comes with a separate bass drum pad and bass drum pedal, providing realistic playing comfort. The included solid bass drum pedal is a favourite of many professional drummers. In the entry-level DTX series, if a little more budget is available, you can also look at the DTX-452. This kit features a better snare drum!

Modern possibilities with a DTX drum kit

Yamaha has released a special DTX app that allows you to use the DTX-432 interactively with a smartphone or tablet. The app provides a fun and easy way to get started with your electronic drum kit on both iOS and Android devices. For example, you can play along with built-in training tracks using the Challenge Mode function. When you complete the last phase, you will receive a drummer certificate from Yamaha. But there is more! You can also customise drum kits with the Editor function and easily share music with your friends and social networks via the Rec'n'Share app (iOS only).

With a USB cable you can also connect the drum kit to your computer. Audio data generated by the DTX module can be sent to the computer. Of course, you can also send MIDI signals to the computer with the drum kit, which allows you to use it as a DAW controller for music production.

Yamaha DD-75 - Digital Percussion Pad

Percussion and drum pad

The DD-75 is a handy drum pad from Yamaha. It is not just another percussion pad, as the pad mimics a complete drum kit. At the top are eight touch-sensitive pads arranged in the same way as a drum kit. The pad even comes with two assignable pedals and two wooden sticks. The set sounds under the pads also sound acoustic. However, you can also choose from a variety of voices and kits, including multiple acoustic kits, drum machines and electronic drum kits. For percussionists who are not fans of drum kits, the pads are also suitable for playing by hand. The pads will respond just as well and the also include several percussion sounds for the most authentic experience and sound possible. Although the pads have a fine sensitivity level, they are also individually adjustable. So you can adjust the sensitivity of one pad and not the rest. This also applies to the sounds. All sounds are individually adjustable, allowing you to use your favourite sounds at the same time.

Advantages of digital playing

If authenticity is so important, why not a real drum kit or percussion instrument? A digital instrument has many advantages over an acoustic instrument. For example, this pad is the ideal purchase for the drummer who likes to practise in silence. This is because you can connect headphones to the pad and the physical attack is muted by the pads. You can also practise at a low volume, which can be adjusted with the volume control. Moreover, you can also play along with background music more easily. In fact, you can connect your phone to the pad via the AUX. Recording also becomes easier. Instead of adjusting and mixing multiple microphones, this pad only requires you to turn on the ‘record’ function. The system can remember up to five songs at the same time.

In addition, this pad is generally lighter and more compact than a drum kit or percussion instruments, making it easy to transport. Another advantage of a digital instrument, is that you have multiple instruments in one. For example, the DD-75 has many different drum kits and percussion sounds. An acoustic instrument only comes with one sound, so with the pad you invest in multiple instruments. Lastly, the pad also runs on batteries, so it can be used anywhere.

Roland TD-07KV V-Drums

With the Roland TD-07KV, Roland has launched a very interesting electronic drum kit on the market. A full-fledged drum kit in a price range where Roland has never shown it before. The TD-07KV is a compact drum kit that delivers superior expression and playing comfort. All pads feature the widely acclaimed mesh heads and a new dedicated bass drum unit provides optimal pedal experience. The new module is equipped with the latest features and lets you explore creative possibilities such as creating your own personalised sounds. In short, a relatively affordable drum kit with maximum sound and playing experience for the beginner to the avid hobby drummer.

The module of the Roland TD-07KV

The Roland TD-07KV features an all-new module. The module is the heart of an electronic drum kit. In the case of the TD-07, this concerns a powerful, capable and fast module equipped with many modern features. Previously, the most affordable drum kits involved the TD-1 series where you, the drummer, had access to a number of pre-programmed drum kits with no adjustments possible. In that respect, the TD-07KV opens up a new world! More than 20 different drum kits are programmed and in total up to 50 kits can be composed. This can be done by combining sounds from different kits and then customising them entirely to your own liking. For example, the size and thickness of the cymbals can be adjusted. But from full acoustic drums to percussion instrument to the smallest details are captured, A wide range of electronic percussion is also present.

The module is also equipped with the latest features such as a Bluetooth function. This allows you to connect your drum kit to smartphone or tablet and then wirelessly play your favourite songs and drum along fanatically. Of course, it is also still possible to connect a music device via an audio cable.

Playing comfort

Playing on a digital drum kit certainly doesn't have to be any less comfortable than on an acoustic kit. Roland pioneered this with the development of their widely acclaimed mesh heads. These heads have a very realistic touch and rebound of the drumstick, making the touch similar to an acoustic kit. Another big advantage of these mesh heads is that they minimise impact noise, making them much quieter. The special new bass drum unit has special damping that drastically reduces the sound of the beater on pad without losing playing comfort.

40 free lessons

Melodics is a desktop app that connects to your V-Drums. By playing along with step-by-step lessons and tracks, you can learn new beats, build your rhythm and timing, record yourself, as well as discover where you can still improve yourself thanks to the playback function. You can (re)play the 40 free lessons indefinitely: they are free for life. But if you are ready for more, you can sign up for an unlimited number of lessons. Practice sessions no longer have to be routine. Download Melodics, plug in your TD-07KV and make your (practice) time with the kit insanely fun.

Roland VQD106 Quiet Drums - Digital Drums

The VQD106

Are you looking for a digital drum set that doesn’t produce external sounds? In that case, we can introduce you to the most silent drum kit in the world: the VQD106! An important advantage of digital drums is that you can play with headphones, which means you won’t produce the insane amount of noise an acoustic set makes. However, digital drums can produce some external sounds that can be bothersome for neighbours or housemates: hitting rubber pads with wooden sticks can produce a pretty loud sound, the metal stand can cause vibrations on the floor, and the pedals can cause extra droning sounds. Consequently, Roland has produced an extra quiet digital drum set after years of research, with a sound decrease of 75%. The pads of the VQD106 are made of sound-absorbing materials so you can hit it with vigour without it producing any extra sounds. Fortunately, this doesn’t decrease the quality of the drum kit, the pads are still very sensitive and have high-quality sensors so the digital sound will sound very authentic. Furthermore, the drum kit includes two pedal bases which will catch all the vibrations the pedals will cause and will prevent it from reaching the floor. The bases and the stand contain soft rubber feet which will prevent damage to your floor and any droning sounds.

Keep in mind: the kick pedal and the drum throne are not included and are sold separately.

Roland

Roland is a Japanese company created in Osaka in 1972 by Ikutaro Kakehashi. They produced high-quality and innovative rhythm machines, quickly followed by synthesizers and digital pianos, which made them one of the market leaders for electronic musical instruments within no time. Kakehashi subsequently created the subsidiary Boss in 1973, which focuses on the bass and guitar aspects of digital music. Roland’s philosophy is that music is an integral aspect of life, considered an almost magical part that brings us more humanity. It’s clearly important for Roland that they can guarantee the best quality. Furthermore, their slogan is ‘We Design The Future Together.’ Although they acknowledge their part in music history, they want to predominantly focus on the future. A plus to this drum kit, compared to the cheaper DTX402 and DTX432, is the configuration that uses a real bass drum pedal and the more sensitive snare drum. The experience and feel of a physical beater hitting the bass drum pad is many times more realistic than an electronic bass drum controller and is guaranteed to have a very positive effect on your drumming skills!

Yamaha DTX452, for all levels and ages

This pad is triggered on three zones, allowing more variation and expression to be applied. Especially for a beginning drummer this is an added value as the snare is one of the most used pads. Should this kit be above your budget, you can also look at the slightly simpler DTX-402 or DTX-432.

Yamaha DTX6K2-X Digital Drum Kit

The DTX6K2-X is a great electric drum kit with excellent value for money. Why an electric drum kit instead of an acoustic drum kit? Electric drum sets take up less space, they are versatile to use, you can play with headphones, the volume is adjustable, and the mixer gives you lots of playing options. Yamaha electric drum sets, in particular, are silent. This is because Yamaha uses rubber for their pads, making the touch itself sound softer. In addition, the module also has more than 400 samples, which you can easily play along with. This drum kit comes with a snare pad, two tom pads, a floor tom pad, bass drum pad, a hi-hat pad, two crash cymbal pads, a ride pad, and a hi-hat stand. The module that comes with it also makes it possible to create a unique sound. Above all, Yamaha is known for delivering quality instruments, which this drum kit certainly falls under. In short, this kit is a great choice for any drummer!

This also means that you’ll always have access to the constantly growing Roland library, including new instrument expansions and new kits. The library already contains very realistic recordings of the best drum kits across the world, so the V71 can produce insanely authentic and detailed sounds. These amazing drum kits were also recorded with a 32-bit/192 kHz resolution in the best studios around the world. You can, of course, add your own sounds to your library. Additionally, you can easily record your playing by connecting the module to your DAW with a MIDI cable. The series contains two TD-type drum kits, like the original Roland digital drum kits, a VAD version, which looks and feels like an acoustic set, and the V71 module is also available separately if you want to use it with your own set.

The VAD716

The VAD716 is a digital drum kit with an acoustic design. This makes it easier to get into the ride vibe while playing. The set contains the newest and best pads. The PD-14SX snare pad contains improved snare technology, which makes the sound more detailed, a snare throw-off handle, and a snare tension knob. Moreover, the set includes an expressive and compact kick pad, two tom pads, two floor toms, two V-Cymbals, a very popular digital hi-hat, a ride pad, and the sturdy frame. The toms have new sensor systems that make the response of the pads even better and more streamlined. Keep in mind that the kit itself isn’t ready to play. The stand for the hi-hat, cymbals, and pads, the kick pedal, snare stand, drum mat, and stool are sold separately.
