Piano maintenance and repair

Joh. de Heer Musical Instruments has its own piano repair and restoration department. In our workshop, we are able to carry out a wide range of repairs on your instrument. Your repair or overhaul is carried out with the utmost care and comes with a 3-month warranty.

Minor maintenance, repairs, the installation of a Silent System, and the fitting of a Life Saver system all fall within our service department. These activities can be carried out at your home by appointment. You are welcome to contact us for all brands of pianos and grand pianos.

Overhaul

Is your piano showing its age and in need of an overhaul? That is certainly possible. Carrying out an overhaul is far more extensive and is therefore performed in our workshop. The following work may be included:

• Replacement of hammer heads
• Repair or replacement of key coverings
• Soundboard repair
• Restringing
• Regulation
• Voicing
• Minor lacquer damage repairs
• Sanding of hammer heads
• Complete piano refinishing

Installation of Piano Life Saver Systems

To help keep your piano or grand piano in good condition, we supply the Piano Life Saver System. This allows you to regulate the humidity inside your instrument, helping to maintain it in optimal condition. These systems are also installed by us upon purchase.
