Boss Katana Gen 3 Series

The Boss Katana Gen 3 series is part of Boss’ Katana series. This series is named after the traditional Japanese sword: the katana. This symbol shows the combination of traditional craftsmanship and innovation. Within this series, Boss develops versatile and powerful amps for a relatively low price. The Katana series stands next to the Waza Craft series, which means that the most innovative technology has been used. The amps contain several effects, which means these amps are ideal for the musician who likes to play different styles. The third generation has an improved response and expression. Furthermore, the third generation produces a better faux-tube amp sound with the innovative technology that Boss has developed since the MkII series. Additionally, the user interface has become more intuitive and the built-in effects are smoother. The third generation is thus literally Next Level. The Katana amps are available in several different sizes and for different prices.

The Katana Artist Head Gen 3

The Katana Artist Head Gen 3 is the head version of the Katana Artist Gen 3, which makes it the flagship under the heads. It’s a 100-watt head, just like the Katana Head Gen 3, but it has added sounds and functions. Additionally, the head has six amp characters and eight memory slots where you can save your favourite combinations. Because the Artist Head is a head, you can choose between three cabinet resonance types: Vintage, Modern, and Deep. Furthermore, the Artist Head has a Bloom switch with which you can engage a different circuit for a completely different sound. The head also has three different equalizers and a three-way Contour so you can change the tone colour. Do you want a beautifully overdriven sound with a low volume? That’s no problem, as Boss perfected a cranked-amp tone at low volumes. Additionally, you can download the Boss Tone Studio app so you can alter the settings via your smartphone or laptop.
