The Boss RT2 Rotary Ensemble adds the vintage sound of a rotary speaker to your setup. This transforms your large, heavy rotary speaker into a small, compact pedal. Powered by the latest BOSS developments, this pedal delivers the expressive spatial effect in a format that can be easily integrated into any setup.

All original rotary features

Most original rotary speakers have a treble rotor and a bass rotor. This means that internally, a horn rotates for high tones and a drum rotates for low tones. By varying the rotation speed between fast and slow, you get a constant stream of tone shifts. This results in expressive effects.

The Boss RT2 Rotary Ensemble authentically reproduces these audio characteristics, combined with features such as a Rise/Fall Timeswitch for adjusting the transition time between speeds, and a colourful indicator that shows the current rotation of the virtual rotors.

Switch between three modes

The pedal features a mode switch that lets you switch between three modes:

1. A faithful reproduction of the most famous vintage rotary speaker design, realised with the latest BOSS modelling technology. This mode adds traditional rotating tones to any instrument, from guitar and bass to organs, electric pianos, synthesizers and more.

2. The vintage rotary sound, enhanced with a wider tonal range. This mode offers improved spatial performance when combined with overdrive and distortion pedals.

3. Provides enhanced definition with intense modulation and drive settings, making arpeggios and solos sound more powerful and present.
