The Viscount Domus S5 is part of the latest generation of Viscount organs. With the Domus name, the Italian organ manufacturer has revived a familiar model name and given it a completely new identity. The groundbreaking new Physis Plus sound engine delivers a powerful and natural evolution of digital organ sounds. This beautiful S5 is housed in a more luxurious cabinet compared to the standard versions, as it is a Deluxe model featuring a solid cabinet finished entirely in black. In addition, with 39 stops, the Domus S5 offers a more extensive specification than its S4 sibling, providing an even more complete organ-playing experience.

 

Digital organ sounds continue to improve, but Viscount’s Physis Plus technology represents a major step forward in this development. By incorporating new and intelligent AI-based innovations, Viscount has created an exceptionally advanced algorithm for reproducing the sound and behaviour of pipe organs. A particularly attractive feature for purists is that this technology can also be controlled using “Physis+ The Editor”. Available for tablets, Mac and Windows computers, this application enables users to adjust highly advanced settings. Different tonal styles can be customised for each stop, with detailed control over parameters such as volume, background noise, attack, character, tremulant, sensitivity, wind supply and much more. Reverb settings can also be adjusted extensively through the editor.

 

Viscount organs have long been highly regarded, partly due to the unique keyboards they use. This new model is equipped with two “Tracker Action” manuals, which have been significantly improved once again. As a result, these manuals offer even more of the authentic feel that every organist seeks, contributing directly to the ultimate organ-playing experience. When using orchestral voices or MIDI functions, the manuals are also velocity-sensitive.
