J. S. Bach - Eight Little Preludes and Fugues Bärenreiter
For a long time, it was believed that the pieces were composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. The pieces even received a BWV number (BWV 553-560). Nowadays, it is assumed that the eight little preludes and fugues were written by a student of Bach.
The eight small preludes and fugues are often played in church services. This is partly due to their length (each about three minutes) and partly because they are relatively easy to play compared to other preludes and fugues by Bach.
Table of contents:
- Prelude and Fugue in C major (BWV 553)
- Prelude and Fugue in d minor (BWV 554)
- Prelude and Fugue in e minor (BWV 555)
- Prelude and Fugue in F major (BWV 556)
- Prelude and Fugue in G major (BWV 557)
- Prelude and Fugue in g minor (BWV 558)
- Prelude and Fugue in A minor (BWV 559)
- Prelude and Fugue in B flat major (BWV 560)
