Korg minilogue XD
The Korg minilogue XD builds on the success of its predecessor and introduces a hybrid architecture that gives musicians an impressive amount of creative freedom. The synth features two analogue oscillators known for their rich overtones, complemented by a digital multi-engine that adds noise, VPM/FM tones and user oscillators. This creates a unique balance between classic analogue warmth and modern digital textures. The effects are fully digital and of high studio quality, allowing every patch to gain depth, space or additional character with ease. The built-in delay, reverb and modulation effects integrate perfectly with the warm analogue core, enabling everything from subtle soundscapes to bold experimental tones.
The playing experience is an essential part of this instrument. The 16-step polyphonic sequencer responds intuitively and offers extensive motion-recording options, allowing parameter movements to be captured directly. This makes the minilogue XD highly inspiring, both for quick musical sketches and for more complex arrangements. The OLED display with oscilloscope visualises your sound in real time, showing exactly what happens as you adjust parameters. This makes the instrument suitable not only for sound designers, but also for musicians taking their first steps in synthesis who want to understand what they are doing.
The connectivity options make the minilogue XD versatile in modern studio and live setups. The synth is equipped with stereo outputs, a damper-pedal input and two CV inputs for integration with modular systems or other external sources. This allows it to fit seamlessly into a wide range of working environments, from compact home studios to extensive live rigs. The microtuning function—featuring scales by artists such as Aphex Twin and Dorian Concept—encourages you to explore new musical colours and work beyond traditional boundaries.
Included in the box are a power adapter, a quick-start guide and the librarian software. For those looking to expand the minilogue XD further, a number of optional accessories can be useful, such as a sustain pedal, a pair of compact studio monitors or an audio interface for recording into DAW software.
