Let the Trumpet Sound - Jan van Beekum

Let the Trumpet Sound is a collection of 22 pieces by the great masters from three centuries. Jan van Beekum's arrangements are of easy to medium difficulty. With works by Purcell, Telemann, Handel, Bach and other composers, the focus of the collection is clearly on the Baroque period, but the classical period is also covered with several big names.

The stately character of many of the pieces makes them ideal for performances in church, but also for solemn concerts and recitals. Depending on the occasion, the organ accompaniment from the book can also be played on the piano. The included CD can be used to practise with - or to perform with when no accompanist is available. All 22 pieces have been played live: once complete with trumpet and organ, and once with just the organ accompaniment.
