Turn your own acoustic piano into a high-end loudspeaker
Transforming your acoustic piano into a high-end loudspeaker? It’s possible with the new and impressive Pleyel Magistral System. With this system, you can easily play audio via Bluetooth, USB or the aux input – and of course, you can also play along on the piano itself. It works simply, because the adjustable clamping system allows you to attach the transducers to the back of your piano without drilling or gluing. These clamps are designed to fit the vast majority of upright pianos, whether new or old, and from any brand. The Magistral system then perfectly reproduces the piano’s soundboard, including the natural harmonic richness of instruments and voices. Various settings can also be adjusted easily on the control unit.
Play with accompaniment on your acoustic piano with Pleyel Magistral
When purchasing a Pleyel Magistral System, Pleyel offers you three months of free access to the complete catalogue of the Metronauts app. Browse through 10,000 scores recorded in the studio by professional musicians. With this evolving application, you can make progress at your own pace. Adjust the tempo, annotate your sheet music, record yourself… many options that make learning or improving easier. You can choose to play solo, duet, four-hands or accompanied by an orchestra. The Magistral System offers complete immersion in exceptional sound quality.
How the system is built
The Magistral System consists of three transducers: one for the bass, one for the left side and one for the right side, with a total output of 80 watts. All three are equipped with a mounting bracket for easy installation on the back of the piano. A cable runs to the control unit, which can be placed on the piano. The control unit is finished in black high-gloss piano lacquer so that it looks pristine on the instrument.
This unit allows you to switch the system on and off and control the output volume using the on/off-volume knob. Three adjustment potentiometers let you easily adapt various high, mid and low frequencies to suit your listening preferences. Finally, the multifunction potentiometer allows you to switch between modes (BT/AUX/USB), start playback, pause and skip to the next or previous track.
