Yamaha B10 Silent Piano
The Yamaha B10 Silent Piano is designed for pianists who enjoy playing an acoustic piano, but also want the freedom to practise at any time of day. This model combines the musical foundation of the B10 with Yamaha’s Silent technology, allowing you to play with headphones without disturbing family members or neighbours. In practice, this proves to be just as important as sound quality and playing feel.
Yamaha B10 Silent Piano
The Yamaha B10 Silent Piano offers two playing modes, selected to suit the moment.
In acoustic mode, you enjoy the warm, open sound of the B10, with its soundboard featuring a solid spruce core and even resonance across the entire keyboard. When silence is required, you can easily switch to silent mode and continue playing with headphones.
In silent mode, every keystroke is captured precisely by Yamaha’s non-contact sensor system. The sound you hear is based on binaural sampling and expression modelling, ensuring that nuances in touch, dynamics and pedal use are faithfully preserved. This makes this version particularly suitable for evening practice, focused study sessions, or playing in a shared living environment.
The strength of the B10 Silent lies in the combination of quiet practice and continuity. Pianists do not need to adapt their playing times to their surroundings and can maintain a consistent practice routine. For families with children, students, or returning pianists rebuilding their skills, this is often decisive. At the same time, the instrument remains, at its core, a fully fledged acoustic B10, making the transition between both playing modes feel natural and intuitive.
In terms of everyday usability, this version is also well suited to daily piano playing. The wide music rest offers ample space for sheet music, and the soft-close mechanism ensures the key cover closes safely and silently. As a result, the Yamaha B10 Silent Piano is not only musically versatile, but also practical and enjoyable in everyday use.
Why choose the Yamaha B10 Silent Piano
- Freedom to play with headphones, without disturbing others
- A full acoustic foundation with additional practice possibilities
- Realistic sound reproduction in silent mode
- Ideal for practising at different times of the day
