The Tyros3 is the first Yamaha digital keyboard to feature a high-resolution 640 x 480 colour TFT (Thin Film Transistor) LCD display. The large, bright 7.5-inch (19 cm) screen clearly shows all important settings and parameters with outstanding sharpness, even under challenging lighting conditions.
Articulation Element Modelling (AEM) is the technology used to simulate instrument characteristics. While playing, the most appropriate sound samples are selected in real time from extensive sample data, ensuring a highly expressive and realistic performance.
A vast amount of MIDI data, style data, WAV files and more can be stored on the keyboard’s internal hard drive.
For wind instrument voices in particular, Yamaha has implemented a dedicated technology (AEM), featuring detailed samples of expressive playing techniques specific to those instruments. This allows for realistic pitch bends, note transitions, smooth note connections, and expressive nuances at the end of notes.
