Yamaha introduces the updated Arius series: digital pianos with even greater expression

Yamaha presents the latest generation of Arius digital pianos: the YDP-166, YDP-146, YDP-S56 and YDP-S36. With the slogan “Step into the Art of the Piano”, this series strongly focuses on expressiveness, playing feel and ease of use.

Authentic piano experience at home
The new Arius models are designed to reproduce the feel and sound of an acoustic piano as closely as possible. As you would expect from Yamaha, they feature sampling of Yamaha’s flagship instrument: the CFX concert grand. As a result, all models deliver a clear, balanced tone across the entire range – from deep bass notes to sparkling high tones. In addition, the new VRM Lite technology ensures a natural resonance, allowing playing nuances to come through more effectively.

GrandTouch-E™ keyboard
The YDP-166 and YDP-S56 are equipped with the GrandTouch-E™ keyboard. This features keys made from synthetic ebony and ivory, designed to closely replicate the feel of a grand piano. As a result, it offers a highly realistic playing experience and provides excellent control over nuance and dynamics

Graded Hammer keyboard
The YDP-146 and YDP-S36 are equipped with the GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) keyboard. This means that the lower notes feel heavier than the higher notes, just like on an acoustic piano. This supports the development of a solid basic technique and makes the keyboard ideal for beginners.

Extended features
Each model in this series includes the music book “50 Classical Music Masterpieces”, featuring 50 classical pieces. In addition, 303 lesson songs are built into the instruments themselves. The Arius series further offers 192-note polyphony, 10 voices and a recording function with 2 tracks. Connectivity is also fully up to date, with Bluetooth audio and MIDI, USB, and dual headphone outputs.

Compact design for every interior
In addition to performance, the refined design also stands out. The Arius pianos combine a slim, modern look with a compact size, allowing them to fit effortlessly into living rooms, apartments and studios. The YDP series features a more traditional design, while the YDP-S models are designed extra slim for smaller spaces.
