Discover the New Generation of Taylor Grand Auditoriums

Experience Taylor’s new generation of Grand Auditorium models. The flagship instruments feature three innovative upgrades that enhance both sound and playability. The series includes both Standard and Builder’s Editions.

Innovative Upgrades
This new generation of Grand Auditorium guitars makes its debut in the bestselling 300, 400, and 800 series. With three innovative features, players will notice a significant improvement in tone, feel, and versatility—whether performing live or recording in the studio.

Action Control Neck
The new neck design first appeared in Taylor’s 2025 Gold Label Collection. The long-tenon neck joint improves the connection between neck and body, resulting in a warmer, richer sound. Additionally, string height can now be adjusted more quickly and precisely than ever before, without removing strings or the neck. You can change your setup and playing style within seconds.

Scalloped V-Class Bracing
Taylors V-Class Bracing reaches a new evolution – with a profile that delivers warmer low notes and richer resonance. All of this is achieved while maintaining the balance, intonation, and projection that V-Class is renowned for. As lead designer Andy Powers explains: “It’s as if you married the low-end response of traditional flattops with the strong idrange and top-end presence of V-Class.”

Claria System Electronics
This brand-new system was developed with extensive input from touring artists and live sound engineers. It features a patented preamp that softens the harshness of traditional sounds, with controls conveniently located on the soundhole. You can adjust volume and tone, and it also includes a versatile mid-contour knob. The result is a consistent, stage-ready sound that can easily be adapted to any setting.

The 300 Series
The 300 Series is the entry-level range of this new generation and offers excellent value for money. You can choose from the 314ce in sapele/Sitka spruce, the 324ce in sapele/mahogany, or the Builder’s Edition 324ce, also in sapele and mahogany. Earlier editions of these models featured spruce tops rather than mahogany. The updated 300 Series also features a black-and-white rosette and a fully glossy body. The 400 Series will have the same specifications as the 300 Series.

The 400 Series
The 400 Series is crafted from Indian rosewood and Sitka spruce. The 454ce retains the standard V-Class bracing to support the 12-string version, while the other models feature the new Scalloped V-Class bracing. Overall, this series is ideal for players who love the deep lows and sparkling highs of rosewood.

The 800 Series
The 800 Series combines musical versatility with the tonal quality and full range of Indian rosewood. It consists of the 814ce and 854ce models—essentially the same instruments, except the 854ce is 12-stringed. These guitars combine refined tonal colours with precise intonation and balanced response, making them an indispensable choice for any guitarist.

Taylor 314ce Next Generation

The Next Generation Guitars

The Taylor 314ce Next Generation is, as the name suggests, part of the Next Generation series. Taylor is known for their high-quality guitars, and the Next Generation series only improves upon that! These guitars contain Taylor’s new Long-Tenon Action Control necks, which improve contact between the neck and the body. This makes the neck sturdier and adds more warmth and depth to the sound of the guitar. With the Action Control function, it’s also easier to adjust the action of the guitar. All guitars are also semi-acoustic, which means they come with a preamp. The guitars all have Taylor’s new Claria System, which makes sure that the amplified sound is consistent, neutral, and authentic.

The 300 Series

The 300 series contains versatile guitars. There are two options within the series: guitars made of sapele and spruce and guitars made of blackwood and mahogany. Furthermore, the series has a large selection of guitar shapes and also 12-string and classical guitars. This makes the series very utilitarian.

The 314ce Next Generation

The Taylor 314ce Next Generation is a great guitar. The body has a solid spruce top and sapele back and sides. This produces a warm and powerful sound. Moreover, the guitar has a Grand Auditorium body, which was designed by Taylor in 1994 and is their most popular model. The Grand Auditorium is a bit smaller than the Dreadnought and a bit bigger than the Grand Concert. This also makes it more versatile, as the Dreadnought was designed for rhythm guitar and the Grand Concert for fingerpicking. The Grand Auditorium is a combination of both. The guitar has Claria System electronics so the amplified sound will sound authentic.

Taylor

Taylor is an American company that was founded in 1974 when two boys bought an old hippie guitar shop. The boys were very passionate about guitars and put a lot of energy into the shop. Eventually, the shop evolved into an international company. All Taylor guitars today are made in either El Cajon in California or Tecate in Mexico. Taylor is very proud of this, because guitars that are produced close to headquarters go through a more thorough quality control process and employee satisfaction is better regulated. Taylor prioritises tone and comfort. All guitars are perfected and with modern luthier techniques the guitars can be made with more precision and consistency.
