Taylor Academy 12e-N

Taylor

Taylor is an American company that was founded in 1974 when two boys bought an old hippie guitar shop. The boys were very passionate about guitars and put a lot of energy into the shop. Eventually, the shop evolved into an international company. All Taylor guitars today are made in either El Cajon in California or Tecate in Mexico. Taylor is very proud of this, because guitars that are produced close to headquarters go through a more thorough quality control process and employee satisfaction is better regulated. Taylor prioritises tone and comfort. All guitars are perfected and with modern luthier techniques the guitars can be made with more precision and consistency.

The Academy Series

The Academy series contains great guitars for an awesome price. All the guitars are Taylor standard, which means they sound and feel like a real Taylor. In this series, Taylor prioritises tone and comfort. As such, the guitars have carved armrests and a narrower neck. All guitars in the series have a solid top for a beautiful projection and an authentic sound.

The Academy 12e-N

The Academy 12e-N is an amazing classical guitar. The body has a solid spruce top and laminated sapele back and sides. This will result in a bright and warm sound. The guitar has a mahogany neck and an ebony fretboard. The guitar has a Grand Concert body, which is a comfortable shape that is a bit smaller than the Dreadnought. The neck is also a bit shorter which makes it more suitable for smaller or younger guitar players. Furthermore, the shape gives the guitar a nicely balanced sound. The guitar has ES-B electronics so the amplified sound will sound authentic.

Taylor Gold Label 814e Koa SB

The Gold Label Series

2025 has been seized by Taylor; adding some new legends to the market with the introduction of the Gold Label Series. These guitars produce the beautiful ‘Old-Heritage’ sound, as Taylor refers to it. This is a powerful sound with a dynamic depth, amazing tuning stability, and great sustain, which is the result of a combination of the new Super Auditorium shape, the longer neck joint, the V-Class bracing, and the use of amazing tonewoods. The appearance and the shape of the guitars were inspired by flattop guitars from the 1930s and ‘40s, which are characterised by their open and vintage sound.

The Gold Label 814e Koa

The Gold Label 814e Koa is a great guitar. The body has a solid spruce top and solid Hawaiian koa back and sides. This combination produced a warm and dynamic sound. The guitar has a mahogany neck and an ebony fretboard. Furthermore, the guitar has a Super Auditorium shape. This is a newer version of Taylor’s popular Grand Auditorium shape. The Super Auditorium has a slightly longer body and a wider bottom, which means the guitar looks very similar to the Grand Auditorium but has more space for resonance and thus produces a fuller and more powerful sound. This makes the guitar very versatile, but this shape is exceptionally ideal for fingerpicking. Furthermore, the guitar has LR Baggs Element VTC electronics so the amplified sound will sound authentic.

Martin D-28 Modern Deluxe

The Modern Deluxe Series

The Modern Deluxe series consists of high-quality guitars with an amazing balance between vintage and modern. For example, the guitars have traditional binding, gold tuners, and a vintage pearl inlay. Furthermore, the top of the body was aged by the Vintage Tone System. As such, the wood has more tonal properties and thus sounds better. The modern aspects of the guitars include a carbon fibre bridge for improved volume and a Vintage Deluxe neck for increased comfort.

The D-28

The D-28 is a Dreadnought guitar. Dreadnoughts are very popular because they’re very versatile and produce a full and rich sound. They are the ideal rhythm guitars, although fingerpicking still sounds amazing on a dreadnought. Furthermore, Martin is the place to go for a dreadnought, considering they invented the guitar and are still one of the best when it comes to the production of these guitars. The D-28 has a spruce top. Spruce has a beautiful resonance and produces a warm sound. The back and sides are made of Indian rosewood. Rosewood has a beautiful dark colour and produces a warm and resonant sound. The guitar has a mahogany neck and an ebony fretboard, which will provide a smooth playing surface.

Martin

Martin is a reputable American company which has been making guitars for almost 200 years. Throughout the years they have become one of the best when it comes to western guitars. This is because quality is their biggest priority. Consequently, Martin guitars are very popular. There are even many famous guitarists who use Martin guitars, like Muddy Waters, Bob Dylan, and David Gilmour. Furthermore, their production process is environmentally friendly. Since the ‘90s they have worked together with the FSC to prevent deforestation. They only use wood from trees that have to be cut down to keep the forest healthy. The other parts of the guitar are recycled, as well. By purchasing a Martin guitar you are thus not only investing in quality, but also the environment.

Taylor K24ce Next Generation

Taylor K24ce Next Generation

The Taylor K24ce Next Generation is a Grand Auditorium guitar designed for players who want warmth, character and inspiration right from the first note. Its all-solid Hawaiian koa construction, refined build quality and advanced Next-Gen features give the instrument a rich, open and expressive voice that feels instantly familiar. From shimmering highs to a warm low end, the K24ce offers a versatile tonal range ideal for fingerstyle players, singer-songwriters and performers who want an acoustic with presence and personality.

Taylor K24ce Next Generation

With the Taylor K24ce Next Generation, Taylor brings its latest design evolution to the prestigious Koa Series. The Scalloped V-Class® bracing enhances resonance, projection and low-end warmth, while still maintaining the clarity and tuning accuracy for which Taylor is known. Thanks to the patented Action Control Neck™, adjusting your string height is precise, quick and effortless, creating a comfortable feel whether you play softly or with more dynamic attack.

Sound, feel and practical use

Both the top and the back and sides are built from beautifully figured Hawaiian koa, offering a luxurious look and a naturally balanced, warm sound that becomes sweeter and more resonant the longer you play it. Decorative Spring Vine inlays complete the guitar’s elegant appearance. The Grand Auditorium body shape makes this model a versatile choice: expressive for fingerstyle, but also full enough for strumming, studio work or live performance.

The Claria™ System electronics provide a natural and warm amplified tone thanks to an improved under-saddle pickup and a specially developed preamp that reduces the sharpness typical of piezo systems. With intuitive controls placed inside the soundhole—Volume, Mid-Contour and Tone—you can easily shape your sound to fit any acoustic environment, from intimate stages to larger venues.

Included accessories

The guitar comes with a Taylor Deluxe Hardshell Case, documentation and Taylor care information, and a truss rod adjustment tool

Optional accessories

To complement the instrument, many players choose extras such as a care kit, a guitar humidifier to protect the solid koa wood, a quality tuner or a selection of premium strings. A capo or a reliable microphone for home recording setups can also be a practical addition.
