Kala Bakithi Kumalo Signature Acoustic-Electric U•BASS®
The Kala Bakithi Kumalo Signature Acoustic-Electric U•BASS® is designed as an ideal introduction to the U•BASS®, while also offering sufficient depth for the experienced bassist. The all-mahogany body delivers a warm, rounded bass response with natural dynamics. In combination with its proprietary strings, this results in a clear, well-defined sound that will feel instantly familiar to players accustomed to an electric bass.
Thanks to its short scale length of approximately 52.9 cm, this bass is exceptionally comfortable to play. The overall length of around 74.6 cm makes the instrument highly compact and ideal for travelling, rehearsals or smaller stages. The body measures approximately 35.1 cm in length and 7.6 cm in depth, contributing to a surprisingly full sound relative to its size.
Visually, this U•BASS® stands out with Bakithi’s black signature pickguard and distinctive headstock artwork, hand-drawn by album cover artist Gus Liberdade.
