The Redline AV-RL-20R is a nice and affordable amp by VHT. This amp is part of their Redline series. The Redline amps have beautiful vintage sounds and are lightweight and affordable. They have elegant red lining which gives them an authentic vintage tube amp look. De AV-RL-20R is a transistor amp, when vintage amps are usually tube amps. This was done on purpose. Transistor amps are lighter, more stable, more versatile, more affordable, and tend to last longer. VHT decided to combine the transistorciruitry with some authentic technology. For example, the reverb is a spring reverb, which makes it sound incredible and vintage. The controls are also inspired by tube amps. This means the amp only has controls like low, mid, high, gain, level, and volume. The amp also has an extra drive control with four different settings, including the unique Redline overdrive. Furthermore, the amp is also quite versatile. Next to toneversatility, the amp also has an headphone input, smartphone input, footswitch input, and a line-out.
