Used Yamaha CP-4 is in very good condition and comes with a 12-month warranty. An FC-3 sustain pedal is included in the price.
The Yamaha CP4 is Yamaha’s current flagship stage piano and is a very popular model among many musicians. According to Yamaha, it is the finest stage piano they have ever produced. A wide range of sound options, combined with a wooden keyboard, guarantees an optimal playing experience. With a weight of only 17.5 kg, the CP4 is also highly portable, allowing you to take this experience with you wherever you go.
Sounds in the Yamaha CP4
The Yamaha CP4 offers a broad selection of voices. The sounds are generated by an advanced tone engine. Yamaha’s Spectral Component Modelling (SCM) technology is combined with samples based on the handcrafted Yamaha concert grand pianos, such as the CFX and CFIIIS. These instruments are renowned for their beautiful tone across the entire dynamic range, and these qualities are reproduced exceptionally well in the CP4. A slightly warmer-sounding grand, such as the S6, or an electric grand piano like the CP80, can also be rendered with remarkable accuracy by this stage piano.
The CP4 offers not only piano sounds, but also harpsichord, organ, synthesiser and various string instrument sounds. Many of these come from the Motif, Yamaha’s flagship synthesiser series. In total, the piano provides 433 sounds. To complete the instrument, it is equipped with a comprehensive effects section, offering essential effects such as 11 types of reverb and 9 types of chorus.
Keyboard
This Yamaha piano features a keyboard that closely replicates the feel of a grand piano, providing an authentic and highly enjoyable playing experience. The NW-GH keyboard has a wooden core with a synthetic ivory top layer, giving the player excellent grip on the keys. As with an acoustic grand piano, the hammer weights are graded: keys in the lower register feel heavier, while keys in the upper registers feel lighter.
Transport
As mentioned earlier, the CP4 is very easy to transport. This portability, together with its extensive sound possibilities and excellent playability, makes it the ideal piano for travelling and performing musicians. In addition to its elegant design, the piano is built extremely robustly, ensuring excellent durability. With the optional carrying bag, transport becomes even easier.
Connections
Once set up on stage, the CP4 proves to be extremely practical. It features balanced XLR outputs, ensuring the highest possible sound quality.
