The Tyros4 features an extensive and improved collection of outstandingly authentic voices, giving you the tools to play them more naturally and with greater expression. In particular, the instrument includes many new Super Articulation Choir Voices, delivering astonishingly realistic and natural human vocal sounds that further expand your expressive possibilities.

Powerful, professional automatic accompaniment styles

The Tyros4 styles have been significantly enhanced thanks to the professional capabilities of the new Super Articulation and Super Articulation 2 voices. Improved and more expressive variations have also been implemented in the MegaVoices, especially in the Scat and Gospel voices.

Dynamic and versatile Vocal Harmony function – including Synth Vocoder

The new and improved Vocal Harmony 2 (VH2) processing engine delivers superior sound quality, lightning-fast processing and extensive, flexible control over the harmonies applied to your vocals. It also includes a Synth Vocoder function, the dynamic and popular vocoder effect for a wide variety of fascinating and even other-worldly sounds. In addition, the rear panel provides connections for both XLR microphone cables and 6.3 mm jack plugs, allowing for easy microphone connection.

Audio recording and playback

With the Tyros4, you can record your performance as audio data using two different methods: Simple (quick and easy recording to a single audio track) and Multi Track (recording with overdubbing for complex songs). As the recorded data is stored in WAV file format, you can edit your recordings on a computer, share them online or burn your own audio CDs. The instrument also supports MP3 playback.

Practical and easy-to-use Music Finder function

With the vast amount of data available for the instrument—including your own song and audio data—the Music Finder function allows you to instantly locate and recall what you need. You not only get the ideal set-ups (voices, styles, etc.) for each song by searching by song title or genre, but you can also easily recall your own registered song and audio data. Additional new panel settings for the Tyros4 can be downloaded directly via the internet.

Improved features for direct internet connection

The Tyros4 can be connected directly to the internet using the Internet Direct Connection function, allowing you to download special content without the need for a computer. Improvements include the convenient, user-friendly IDC Setup Wizard, as well as new security options such as WPA2 and WPA.

Audio recording

No separate recording hardware is required: you can record your keyboard performance, as well as your own vocals or the sound of other instruments, directly into the Tyros4. The audio is stored as digital audio data on the internal hard drive in completely noise-free audio quality. Using a computer and audio-editing software, you can edit the audio files if required and then re-import them into the Tyros4. As the audio data is stored in WAV format, you can easily share your recordings online or create your own original CDs. The instrument also supports MP3 files, allowing playback of this popular format.
