The Tyros4’s styles make use of high-quality sound technologies such as Super Articulation and Super Articulation 2 voices. The MegaVoices provide versatile and expressive variations – particularly in the Scat and Gospel categories – allowing for dynamic and musically rich accompaniment.

Vocal Harmony function – including Synth Vocoder

The Vocal Harmony 2 (VH2) processing system delivers clear sound quality, fast signal processing, and flexible control over the harmony parts applied to your singing. A built-in Synth Vocoder adds distinctive and creative sound effects. The rear panel also offers an input for XLR microphone cables or standard 6.3 mm jack plugs.

Voice expansion capability

The Tyros4 is an open platform, allowing you to expand its content with additional Premium Voices, Waves, Songs, and Styles via the Yamaha service website (http://service.music.yamaha.com). Some content requires the optional Flash Memory Expansion Module.

Audio recording and playback

The Tyros4 lets you record your performance in WAV format – either quickly on a single track (Simple) or on multiple tracks for more complex arrangements (Multi Track). Your recordings can be edited on a computer, shared online, or burned to your own CD. The instrument also supports MP3 playback.

Music Finder function

The Music Finder function gives quick access to suitable settings for individual songs – sorted by title or genre – and also allows fast recall of your own registered song and audio data. Additional panel settings can be downloaded online.

Direct internet connectivity

With the Internet Direct Connection feature, the Tyros4 can connect directly to the internet to download content without requiring a computer. Security standards such as WPA2 and WPA are supported.

Direct audio recording

The Tyros4 enables direct, high-quality recording of your keyboard performance, vocals, or the sound of other instruments onto the internal hard drive. Recordings are saved in WAV format, can be edited if required, and can be re-imported afterwards. MP3 files can also be played back without any issue.
