With this piano you get an instrument that has already been chosen best piano of the year four times and is characterized by its warm romantic sound and pleasant manner of playing. And then you can build even further on all digital possibilities!

This Kawai K-300 Aures2 comes with the free Luxury Piano Package worth €325,- consisting of:

  • Tuning before and after delivery
  • 10 year warranty
  • Free delivery within the Benelux and very affordable shipping rates abroad.

THE KAWAI K-300, BASICALLY PURELY ACOUSTIC

Good to know that, basically, the K-300 Aures is completely identical to the normal K-300. When the digital part is turned off, it is really an acoustic piano with all the acoustic parts such as a soundboard, hammers and a real piano keyboard. This piano must therefore be regularly tuned by a piano tuner to stay in tune.

With its high housing, the piano has a full, warm, romantic sound that is widely appreciated. Materials for important parts such as the solid spruce for the soundboard are carefully selected with very high quality requirements being applied. These criteria result in the high sound quality that Kawai delivers. The smooth manner of playing of this piano is due to the much acclaimed “Millennium III” action. The use of ABS Carbon, a light material instead of wood, has a positive effect on the mechanics and realizes three important elements for pianists; speed, control and power.

Digital possibilities with the K-300 Aures

The unique thing about a hybrid piano is that the piano can also be played digitally or that the acoustic sound can be combined with the digital sound. If your environment does not appreciate the acoustic playing for a while, you can mute the sound by pressing the center pedal to the left. Now the hammers are prevented from hitting the strings, but the movement of the hammers is registered by sensors. These recognize every movement, both when playing fast passages where the same keys are played several times in succession, as well as during quiet parts with keys played slowly.

The basis for the digital sound is the Kawai SK-EX concert grand piano, which has been carefully sampled with multiple tracks and then combined with the latest resonance modeling technology and newly developed resonance algorithms. The complex technology leads to a natural and expressive sound across the entire sound spectrum. What is unique is that the sound reproduction is created by transducers that are incorporated in the soundboard. These speakers create vibrations in the soundboard so that the digital sound resonates naturally and thus sounds even more natural and spacious.

In addition to the SK-EX grand piano sound, the K-300 Aures is also equipped with many other samples from the Kawai sound library. You will also find sounds from other grand pianos and pianos, but also electric pianos, Hammond or church organs, strings or choral sounds. You can of course play these digital sounds digitally via the speakers or headphones while the acoustic sound is suppressed. It is also possible to combine the acoustic sound of the K-300 with, for example, strings from the digital section. A unique combination and experience!

Controls, Bluetooth and USB

To the left of the keyboard on the piano is a large touchscreen display. From this panel you can easily control the electronic part of the piano. Setting the desired sound, but also, for example, setting a split or a dual, setting a metronome, transposing the piano or changing the tuning. You will also find a recording functionality in the panel.

To the left below the keyboard is a box with various connections. This allows you to connect two headphones simultaneously. It is also possible to connect the piano via Bluetooth with your smartphone or tablet. For example, you can play music over the piano's sound system or use music-related apps. Via the USB connection it is possible to connect the piano to the computer and thus exchange MIDI data. A USB stick can also be plugged in to play songs directly on the instrument or save your own performance in MP3 or WAV format.

This piano comes with free Kawai SH-9 Headphones.

Kawai K-500 Aures2 Hybrid Piano

The Kawai K-500 Aures 2 is the second generation of a very innovative development within the piano world, namely that of the hybrid pianos. A hybrid piano is basically a purely acoustic model that is equipped with very advanced digital capabilities. In this case, the basis is the normal K-500 piano, a 130 cm high piano of Japanese origin known for its romantic and full sound and modern elegance. And then of course all the digital functions. Became curious? Then quickly read more about this unique piano.

Including Piano Luxury Package

This Kawai K-500 Aures2 piano comes with the free Luxury Piano Package worth €325,- consisting of:

  • Tuning before and after delivery
  • 10 year warranty on the acoustic part
  • 3 year warranty on the electronic part
  • Free delivery within the Benelux and very affordable shipping rates abroad.

The Kawai K-500 belongs to the group of pianos that are very versatile. You will encounter these with some regularity, from many living rooms to schools and conservatories. Kawai is known for their consistent quality, mainly due to their careful selection of materials. The solid sounding board made of spruce is an excellent example of this. The soundboard is the basis of a piano and is responsible for a large part for the sound and through the expertise and criteria of Kawai the warm, powerful sound with deep utmost is created.

The playing feel of the K-500 is also sublime. As with the lower K-300 or K-200 models, the piano is equipped with the “Millennium III” mechanics. The ABS-Carbon components are incredibly strong and stiff, but at the same time very lightweight. This makes the hammer action lighter without losing power. This results in a piano with a strong and fast action that you as a pianist have optimal control over. From powerful fortissimo to finely expressive pianissimo you can play carefree on the K-500. The keys are also slightly longer, which shifts the pressure point slightly, which improves playability. The Neotex keytops provide a nice touch and give you the feeling of optimal control.

Kawai NV5S Digital Hybrid Piano

Tradition and innovation are combined in the Kawai Novus NV5S to create an outstanding hybrid digital piano. In short, a hybrid digital piano is a digital piano that incorporates acoustic components. The NV5S is equipped with an acoustic action with a damper mechanism, providing the essential feel of playing a premium-quality acoustic piano. The piano’s sound is not acoustic; it is produced by a digital sound source featuring the latest digital voices and amplification technologies. This rich combination of acoustic and digital elements ensures that the NV5S offers everything a pianist could need.

The Kawai NV5S comes with the Digital Piano Service Package, worth €150, which includes:

  • Free delivery within the Benelux and very affordable shipping rates abroad.
  • Piano installation
  • 5-year warranty

Mechanism

A unique feature of the NV5S is the acoustic Millennium III mechanism with 6,000 parts located inside the piano. Normally, a digital piano does not have an acoustic mechanism, despite the fact that this offers a major advantage. The piano plays like a real acoustic piano, ensuring the best playing experience. In addition to the acoustic Millennium III action, the NV5S also features three acoustic pedals, namely damper, soft and sostenuto, to further enhance this effect. The components of the mechanism are made of carbon, a strong, light and durable plastic, which offers several advantages. First of all, carbon is a reliable plastic, making the mechanism less sensitive to changing conditions than the wood normally used. Secondly, carbon is easier to work with than wood, minimising deviations between different hammers, which in turn improves reliability.

Optical sensors

The hammers in the mechanism are all individually weighted and covered with a felt top layer. The hammers transfer the pianist's playing to various optical sensors. These sensors replace the strings and register each keystroke very accurately, which is then reproduced via the speakers. This is what distinguishes the hybrid digital piano from a normal acoustic and digital piano.

Sounds

The NV5S has a total of 90 different sounds, including the Kawai Shigeru concert grand piano, offering endless playing possibilities. All these sounds are reproduced using Kawai SK-EX Rendering Technology. This advanced sampling method accurately samples each key from multiple angles, creating outstanding sounds.

These excellent sounds are projected by six different Onkyo speakers and Kawai's TwinDrive Soundboard system. With this system, Kawai has succeeded in reproducing a wide frequency spectrum directly through the soundboard. The soundboard is vibrated by two transducers. The result is that the vibrations are reproduced just like a real acoustic piano, giving the sound excellent acoustic quality. The system is therefore of much better quality than a standard digital piano speaker system.
