The Vic Firth 5A

The Vic Firth 5A is part of the American Classic series. This line combines years of tradition in drumstick craftsmanship with the signature style of Vic Firth. These classic drumsticks are based on one of the first models the company ever produced. The sticks are turned from specially selected hickory wood. The hardness of this wood type makes the sticks exceptionally durable.

The thickness of the stick is 5A — the most commonly used size in the drumming world. This size represents a medium level of hardness and weight.

The Vic Firth 5A Vic Grip is part of the American Classic line. This series combines years of tradition and style from Vic Firth. These classic sticks are based on one of the earliest models they’ve ever produced. The sticks are made from specifically selected hickory wood. The hard character of this wood makes the sticks especially durable. The Vic Grip version of the sticks have an anti-slip layer so they’ll be less likely to slip out of your hands.

These are 5A sticks, which means that they’re medium thickness, hardness, and weight.

The Vic Firth SD4 Combo is part of the American Custom line. This series contains thicker yet lightweight sticks so they’re fast-playing whilst the thicker sticks are easier to hold. All sticks in this series are made of selected maple which makes for flexible sticks with great rebound.

The SD4 sticks are a little shorter and thinner than the other American Custom sticks which makes them light and fast. This also makes the sticks ideal for lighter music.

The Vic Firth SD9 Driver is part of the American Custom line. This series contains thicker yet lightweight sticks so they’re fast-playing whilst the thicker sticks are easier to hold. All sticks in this series are made of selected maple which makes for flexible sticks with great rebound.

The SD9 Driver has oval tips which makes for a good balance and a distinct sound. The sticks are ideal for jazz but are also definitely suitable for rock music.

The Vic Firth Rute 606 is designed for drummers who want to reduce volume without compromising on definition and playing feel. These rutes are ideal in situations where a regular drumstick is too loud, but brushes do not provide enough attack. They offer a musical and controlled alternative for rehearsals, smaller stages and acoustic settings.
