Roland’s New Drum Machine Is Finally Here: The TR-1000! This innovative system is the successor to the popular TR-808 and TR-909. The TR-1000 combines everything from the TR-808 and TR-909 – and adds much more. You still have access to all the classic sounds and functions of the earlier models, but now with brand-new features and sound options on top.

As always, Roland brought in some of the best sound engineers to develop the TR-1000. The result is a powerful and intelligent sequencer that delivers high-quality sound. You can create seamless transitions and have full control over every detail of your sound. What’s more, Roland ensured that the TR-1000 includes everything musicians actually want – by working directly with independent musicians outside the company. This allowed them to focus on what really matters to artists, making the TR-1000 the ultimate tool for any musician.

A standout feature of the TR-1000 is that the TR-808 and TR-909 are fully integrated into the system. That means you can still create all the original (including analog!) sounds from those classic machines – essentially giving you a 3-in-1 device. And thanks to the expanded capabilities, you can now do even more than the originals allowed: integrate dynamic patterns, perform stereo sampling, enjoy improved sync with external hardware and DAWs, and explore greater variation.

Advanced Digital Sound Engines

Thanks to ACB (Analog Circuit Behavior), you have access to high-quality, virtually analog sound modeling. ACB also brings 19 new voices for the TR-808 and TR-909, FM synthesis, VA waveforms, brand-new digital textures, and deeper sound exploration possibilities.

In addition, the TR-1000 allows for better loop creation, higher-quality pattern stretching, improved quantization, and 16-slice editing. And with the Song Mode, you can create and store up to 128 patterns. Sound quality has never been this high!

Sequencing

Sequencing on the TR-1000 has seen major improvements. Of course, the classic TR-style step sequencer is still available, but it has been enhanced for faster and easier sequencing. You now have access to improved rhythm-editing tools and a wider range of variation. The sequencing tools are also dynamic, offering endless creative possibilities.

Quantization has also been upgraded – it’s not only extremely precise but also more expressive. It doesn’t take away from your performance’s feel; it enhances it with tighter and more musical timing.

User Interface

The user interface has been streamlined for efficiency. The TR-1000 features dedicated step keys and assignable function buttons, allowing you to customize your workflow. The unit also includes precise faders for accurate control – one of which can be fully customized to adjust your preferred parameters. Dedicated volume faders and effect knobs make navigation intuitive, with a clear and tidy layout.
