Roland Introduces New Product: The AIRA Compact Creative Sampler
Roland introduces a brand new creative sampler that is fully equipped with the advanced technology for which they have been known for years. This intuitive recorder combines classic sampling with granular sound design and advanced sequencing tools in a single, pocket-sized device.
What is the AIRA Compact Creative Sampler?
It's renowned Roland sampling technology packed into a pocket-sized gadget. Equipped with a built-in microphone, intuitive controls and USB-C connectivity, the AIRA offers exceptional sampling and performance capabilities. It is similar to many of their previous gadgets, but this one is small enough to take anywhere. Plus, the technology has evolved.
What can you do with it?
The short answer is: a lot. Thanks to the internal microphone, this recorder can record new samples right away. You can then split the samples into different segments, edit them separately and then put them back together again. This allows you to create the most detailed and advanced sounds. There are also extensive sound parameters such as detuning, head position, head speed, spread, grain and much more. You can also add more instruments to expand your palette, or connect to MIDI devices, computers and music apps to expand your existing setup.
Combine with other devices
The P-6 SampleTool software for both Apple and Windows lets you connect endlessly edited sounds to computers. This applies to both internal sounds and sounds you import and create yourself. MIDI and sync I/O let you connect the recorder to audio. In addition, there is Roland's own AIRA Link, which is also known for previous Roland devices. The class-compliant USB-C audio/MIDI interface allows you to plug-and-play audio streaming with computers, phones and tablets.

Roland CB-RAC - Bag for Aira Compact
The CB-RAC is a handy case for Roland’s Aira Compact instruments, such as the Aira Compact E-4 Voice Tweaker, the Aira Compact J-6 Chord Sequencer, and the Aira Compact T-8 Beat Machine. The case has a hard polyester outside for optimal protection. Within the case there is a separate department for your charger cable.
Roland Aira P-6 - Creative Sampler
The P-6 is an amazing sampler from Roland. This small device is ideal for the travelling musician. However, its size doesn’t indicate the power of the device; the P-6 has a huge memory and all the functions one might need. For example, the system has a built-in microphone and a large assortment of multi-effects. Moreover, the P-6 has a stereo headphone connection, a stereo MIDI connection, and a USB-C connection. As such, you can connect the sampler directly to your DAW or use it for content creation. Furthermore, the recorded sound is easily transformed into a sample and you can personalise the smallest details of the sample. Roland
Roland is a Japanese company created in Osaka in 1972 by Ikutaro Kakehashi. They produced high-quality and innovative rhythm machines, quickly followed by synthesizers and digital pianos, which made them one of the market leaders for electronic musical instruments within no time. Kakehashi subsequently created the subsidiary Boss in 1973, which focuses on the bass and guitar aspects of digital music.
