Review: a successful flute workshop with Berdien Stenberg
Last Saturday, the one and only Berdien Stenberg led a flute workshop at our store. Participants were accompanied by a pianist, and Berdien also brought along a group of her own students. Together, they formed an impressive flute orchestra of around 45 players.
Last Saturday, the one and only Berdien Stenberg led a flute workshop at our store. Participants were accompanied by a pianist, and Berdien also brought along a group of her own students. Together, they formed an impressive flute orchestra of around 45 players.
During the workshop, Berdien focused on areas including breathing technique, sound production and ensemble playing. Participants received both individual guidance and practical tips on how to improve their cohesion as a group. With her enthusiasm and many years of experience, she inspired everyone and challenged them to bring out the very best in their playing. A particularly memorable moment was the joint performance, where the flute orchestra truly came to life—a musical highlight of the day.
We would like to thank Berdien and all participants for their enthusiasm, and we look back on a successful and inspiring day. We hope to welcome you again at a future workshop!

Azumi Z1E Flute - Closed
THIS SERIES features a rectangular lip plate - the Z-Cut.

The material is characterised by high strength and corrosion resistance and allows quick response.
E-mechanism
The E-mechanism provides better stability for the tone E3, while also improving intonation and response for the tone.
Offset G
The design with the forward offset G flap has an ergonomic position of the flaps for the ring finger of the left hand.
Closed flaps
Closed keys were standard in traditional flute construction and generally facilitate clean and reliable key closure. Maintenance and upholstering is also slightly easier.
