New BOSS pedals: the XS-1 and XS-100 Poly Shifter

During the development of the XS series, BOSS pioneered several new methods to improve real-time pitch shifts. These latest developments have now all been incorporated. This includes polyphonic performance that feels natural and is suitable for all styles and setups. What used to be a challenge for virtually all pitch shifters has been completely solved with this new technology. Think, for example, of tone characters, complex chords and sustained leads, which now retain all their clarity.

The XS-1
The XS-1 is a handy and compact pedal that transforms the pitch of your sound while preserving the true character of your instrument. Whether you're lowering your tone, simulating a capo, or using extreme octave jumps for your effect, this versatile pedal unlocks new freedom in your performance. With a range of seven semitones and three octaves up or down, this pedal adapts to virtually any musical need. With various control options, it meets all your creative desires. With the ability to connect more pedals, you can transform your sound into a dynamic and pitch-stable whole.

The XS-100
With the XS-100 underfoot, you have complete control over virtually every conceivable effect. The responsive pedal offers linear control over four octaves up and down. You can set separate speeds for each tone change, making it much easier to produce tones with a wide range of effects. Between two guitar strokes, you can use the integrated toe switch to enter temporary pitch jumps with a separately adjustable range, then switch back to the pitch where you started.

Customize and save
The XS-100 gives you the tools to shape effects with extreme precision and your own personality. You can fully customize the pedal range for different songs and techniques. You can give the toe switch a new function, create new effects with the detuning option, and refine your sound in many more ways. Once everything is loaded, you can save your setup. There is space for 30 different setups that you can open on the spot for live sets and studio sessions.
