The BOSS KATANA:GO is back in revamped form

Katana Series

The Boss Katana Artist MkII Head is part of Boss’ Katana series. This series is named after the traditional Japanese sword: the katana. This symbol shows the combination of traditional craftsmanship and innovation. Within this series Boss develops versatile and powerful amps for a relatively low price. The Katana series stands next to the Waza Craft series, which means that the most innovative technology has been used. The amps contain several effects, which means these amps are ideal for the musician that likes to play different styles.

The KATANA:GO

The KATANA:GO is an essential device for the electric bassist or guitarist who likes to play on the go. The device is compact and works on a battery. The battery can last up to five hours and can be charged with the included USB cable. The GO can be folded out and connected to the output of your guitar. The device will fit every guitar. The swivel mechanic makes sure the jack fits in your output properly and the device itself can be put flat against the body. The GO has two settings: Bass and Guitar. The Bass setting has three modelling amps and more than 60 effects, while the Guitar setting has ten modelling amps and also more than 60 effects. Furthermore, the system has a memory that supports up to 30 presets and a built-in tuner.

Connections

With the jack output on the back you can connect your headphones or earbuds to the system. The system was specifically designed to make the sound the headphones produce just as deep and dynamic as a regular amp. Via the Bluetooth system you can connect your smartphone to the device so you can edit effects and presets. With the Boss Stone Studio app you can edit the effects even better and add more presets. You can also play along with YouTube videos. With the Bluetooth you can also connect the wireless EV-1-WL or FS-1-WL pedals. The USB input on the back isn’t only for charging, but you can also connect it to a PC or laptop to record your playing.

The CB-KTNGO is a handy mesh carrying bag for the KATANA:GO. A big advantage of the KATANA:GO is that it’s very compact and easy to transport. However, it is important to properly store your things. This bag was specifically designed for the KATANA:GO and possible accessories. The exterior of the bag is made of durable polyester and the inside of soft velvet. Consequently, your stuff will be properly protected. On the inside of the bag there’s a small mesh pocket and a movable divider. The dimensions of the bag are: 125 x 90 x 50 mm.
