The APX600III is a striking thinline guitar from Yamaha. The instrument is based on the first electro-acoustic guitar that Yamaha developed in the 1980s. It features a piezo pickup, which delivers an authentic sound and prevents feedback. The guitar has also been improved; the deeper body provides better bass response and a louder overall sound. This is partly due to the reinforcement on the inside of the soundboard — the bracing can shape the sound exactly as the luthier intends. As a result, the sound of the APX600III is very powerful and distinctive.
The top of the body is made from solid spruce, which produces a beautifully warm sound. The neck, back and sides may be crafted from different tonewoods, depending on which tonewood Yamaha is able to source in an environmentally responsible way. The fingerboard is made of rosewood, ensuring a comfortable playing experience. In addition to its practical qualities, the guitar also boasts a beautiful appearance: the unique shape and natural finish give it an authentic and modern look.
