About the Nord brand

Nord Keyboards was founded in 1983 by Hans Nordelius. What began with a single drum pad has grown into a successful company with many outstanding instruments, such as keyboards and synthesisers. All these instruments are handmade by the production team at the Nord factory in Stockholm. The production team works only with carefully selected suppliers who deliver high‑quality components to the Nord factory. Furthermore, Nord instruments are hand‑assembled by a dedicated and specialised staff, which is clearly reflected in the quality of the instruments. Nord instruments

At present, we offer various Nord stage pianos and synthesisers, which are listed below. These models are in stock and set up ready to play in our showroom, where you are warmly welcome to try them out. If you are already certain of your choice, you can also order your new instrument through our webshop.

Nord Stage 4

The Nord Stage 4 is the new flagship among stage pianos and features the latest award‑winning technologies, including the Nord Lead A1 synthesiser with sample playback, the highly praised Nord C2D organ, a significantly improved piano section, and extensive practical effects. In essence, the Stage series is divided into four main sections: piano, synthesiser, organ and effects — all top‑class functions in one exceptional instrument.

This Nord Stage series consists of three variants. The first is the Stage 4 compact version with 73 lightly weighted keys, offering a playing feel closest to that of an organ. The second is the Stage 4 73 version with 73 semi‑weighted keys, which provides a more piano‑like response. With 88 fully weighted keys, the Stage 4 88 offers the most authentic piano playing experience. Preferences vary from player to player.

Nord Grand

The Nord Grand features a first‑class weighted keyboard equipped with advanced triple sensors that capture hammer movements with exceptional precision, resulting in a smooth and natural feel similar to that of an acoustic grand piano.

Nord Piano 6

The Nord Piano 6 is one of the latest additions to the Nord piano series and is equipped with dual piano engines, dual sample synths and twice as much memory as the previous generation. The combination of triple‑sensor technology and Nord’s virtual hammer action provides an exceptional playing experience for every keyboardist.

Nord Wave 2

The Nord Wave 2 is a high‑quality synthesiser offering great versatility, impressive sounds, a wide range of connections and intuitive operation — all within a compact housing. Five high‑quality reverb effects, numerous modulation types and an advanced delay effect offer ample sound‑shaping possibilities. With hundreds of parameters to adjust, the Nord Wave 2 can be completely tailored to your personal taste. In short: the Nord Wave 2 has everything both live and studio musicians need.

Nord Electro 7

The Nord Electro 7 is the latest generation of the popular Electro series and builds on everything that has made these instruments so beloved. Compared to previous models, the Electro 7 offers larger sound memory, improved split and layer features, and even faster, more intuitive operation. Its three independent sound sections — Piano, Organ and Sample Synth — can be combined, split or layered as desired, giving the instrument outstanding flexibility. Effects, navigation and polyphony have also been refined, ensuring excellent performance both on stage and in the studio.

The Electro 7 comes in three versions, each with its own playing characteristics:

• Nord Electro 7‑61: 61 semi‑weighted waterfall keys, ideal for organists and live performers who want a compact instrument.
• Nord Electro 7‑73: the same touch response but with extended range — ideal for musicians seeking a balance between organ, piano and sample sounds without compromising portability.
• Nord Electro 7 HP: 73 keys with Nord Hammer Action Portable, providing a more piano‑like feel while remaining much lighter than traditional hammer‑action instruments.

Together, these three models form a versatile and powerful series offering musicians high‑quality sounds, recognisable Nord operation and a playing experience tailored to various styles.

Nord Electro 6

The Nord Electro 6 remains one of the most popular instruments in the Nord family. Although it has now been succeeded by the Electro 7, the Electro 6 is still valued for its powerful sounds, clear layout and reliable stage performance. Like the newer models, it features three independent sound sections — Piano, Organ and Sample Synth — which can be flexibly combined. Thanks to high‑quality sound libraries, precise keyboards and extensive effects, the Electro 6 offers an expressive and versatile playing experience live and in the studio.

The Electro 6 is available in three versions:

• Nord Electro 6D 61: 61 lightly weighted waterfall keys for fast and organ‑like playing, perfect for compact live setups.
• Nord Electro 6D 73: same mechanism with extended range, ideal for switching between organ and piano sounds.
• Nord Electro 6HP: 73 Hammer Action Portable keys for a more piano‑oriented playing experience while remaining portable.

Accessories

Dust covers, pedals, monitors, music stands and more — Nord has developed various accessories to ensure optimal performance of their instruments. Some accessories fit only specific models or series. For instance, the Nord Keyboard Stand is available only for the Nord Stage 4 HP76/88, Nord Grand, Nord Piano 6 and Nord Electro HP 6 and HP 7. An overview of compatible accessories can be found on the Nord website. Additionally, we offer special bundle deals listed at the bottom of each product page — these include combinations of accessories at discounted prices and guarantee compatibility with your instrument for the best playing experience.

Nord Studio Monitors

Nord has developed high‑quality studio monitors specifically for their instruments. These are highlighted separately here because they can be connected to all Nord keyboard instruments thanks to the two jack inputs. A suitable cable for this is the Stagg NTC3PR. The monitors also feature a second input with a mini‑jack connection, allowing you to connect a laptop or smartphone and play both audio sources simultaneously — ideal for playing along or listening to your favourite music.

Please note: the monitors come with brackets, but these cannot be mounted on all instruments. They are compatible with the Nord Piano 4, Nord Piano 5 73/88, Nord Grand, Nord Stage 3 Rev B HP76/88 and Nord Stage 4 73/88. On all other Nord keyboard instruments, the speakers can be connected but not mounted. They can, for example, be placed on the Stagg SMOS‑10. Nord also offers a dedicated carrying case: the Nord Softcase 14.
