The new Helix Stadium pedals are ready for pre-order!
The new Helix Stadium series is here, consisting of the Helix Stadium Floor and Helix Stadium XL Floor. This new line marks a significant step forward in modelling technology, interface design and connectivity.
The models utilise the all-new Agoura amplifier modelling methodology, setting a new benchmark for authentic amplifier sound and responsiveness. Both units also feature a high-resolution 8-inch touchscreen as the central control panel for presets, effects and signal chains. In addition, both units support presets that are compatible with previous Helix/HX products, making the transition easier for existing users.
For guitarists and bassists, the new Helix Stadium series represents next-level technology. The combination of high-quality modelling, the touchscreen interface, the extensive I/O options and accessories makes these units interesting for both live use and studio work. Thanks to compatibility with existing Helix presets, existing users can upgrade without having to start from scratch. For professional setups, the XL version offers the widest range of functionality.
Similarities and differences between the two systems
Both units utilise the new Agoura modelling engine for amplifiers and effects, ensuring high-quality sound. Both also feature a high-resolution 8-inch touchscreen for operation. In addition, both models support the new workflow and interface features such as Focus View and Signal Path Icons. The models also both have access to 134 amplifier options, 274 effect models and 512 presets. However, the differences are of course more important. For example, the XL has two jack inputs, while the Floor has one. The XL also has four connections for Effect Loops, while the Floor has two. Another important difference is that the XL has Scribble Strips. These are small displays above the switches that allow you to name the twelve individual switches.
With the Helix Stadium series, Line 6 is taking an ambitious step towards a future of integrated modelling processors that are both powerful and user-friendly. Guitarists and bassists looking for top-of-the-range modelling equipment should definitely keep an eye on this series, especially those with a stage or studio setup where versatility and connectivity are important.
