Yamaha Introduces Updated YDS-152 and YDS-122 Digital Saxophones
Yamaha updates its popular YDS series with the introduction of the YDS-152 and YDS-122.
Anyone looking for a digital saxophone with a realistic playing experience and greater tonal flexibility can now turn to the updated Yamaha YDS-152 and YDS-122. Both models succeed existing YDS instruments and feature, among other improvements, 16 additional instrument sounds, a modern USB-C connection and enhanced durability of the key switches.
With the YDS series, Yamaha has long combined the playing feel of a saxophone with the flexibility of a digital instrument. The new YDS-152 and YDS-122 build on that concept while introducing several practical enhancements for everyday use, practice and live performance.
Yamaha YDS-152
New to the model is an expanded sound library. In addition to a range of saxophone sounds, the YDS-152 now includes 16 extra instrument sounds, including violin, trumpet and other acoustic instrument voices. The YDS-152 is also equipped with a USB-C connection, while the key switches have been further improved for greater longevity.
Yamaha YDS-122
Thanks to its integrated breath sensor, the YDS-122 responds to the musician’s playing style, ensuring a familiar experience for saxophonists. The move to USB-C also makes it easier to connect the instrument to computers and other compatible devices for recording or configuration purposes.
