The third generation of Transacoustic pianos combines the worlds of an acoustic and digital piano even more than ever before. A transacoustic piano is basically a regular piano on which, of course, fully acoustic playing is possible. So you can fully enjoy the pure acoustic sounds of Yamaha's high-quality pianos. Furthermore, the piano is equipped with numerous digital features that allow the piano to be used in Silent mode and in Hybrid mode.

Hybrid mode

In hybrid mode, a Transacoustic piano combines digital sounds with the acoustic elements of the piano. It is possible both to mute the piano acoustically so that the hammers no longer touch the strings, as well as to actually use the piano acoustically to enhance the digital sounds. The digital system uses the improved basic sounds from the world-famous Yamaha CFX grand piano and the legendary Bosendörfer Imperial grand piano, which are recorded key by key at the highest quality. These recordings have been processed into the current latest samples that the Transacoustic system brings to life via specially designed transducers.
